Financial Services provides the financial operations support to the Department including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant administration, asset management, petty cash and tuition reimbursements, travel arrangements for all employees, and the processing of all bail/bonds. Financial Services tracks and accounts for all of the controlled equipment and fixed assets, as well as, processes all the necessary paperwork for the surplus of outdated and non-working assets. In addition, they process the bi-weekly payroll for over 3,900 Department employees and coordinate the ordering and disbursement of supplies for the entire Department. Jail cashiering staff, located at two jail facilities, is responsible for receiving and processing bail/bonds and processing funds for all inmate accounts for Commissary purchases. Financial Services have also implemented the new Jail Cashiering Kiosk System for convenience so that money can be placed immediately on the inmate’s account for commissary purchases or bail payments made at Kiosks located at the Intake Release Center and Theo Lacy facilities or remotely via the internet. Financial Services also provides staff to our Communications Division to support the financial needs of this division.
