The Division Support Unit, which is comprised of 26 employees, provides professional support to the division including recruiting, clerical, accounts payable, product purchasing, revenue forecasting, auditing, legislative analysis, safety, inmate rights training, research and analysis, and the Inmate Law Library. It is also responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity of two general funds as well as two self-balancing (inmate funds in trust) funds.

Division Support was a consolidated effort to centralize the core functions of the Division. Staff duplication and workflow issues were identified in each of the existing units; staff and responsibilities were consolidated an effort to streamline the workflow, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. The unique nature of the Division is that staff are scattered throughout the five jail facilities. Centralization became a key component to efficient operational procedures.
