Directed Enforcement Team (DET) handles specific crime problems or concerns of south county communities. The Directed Enforcement Team is comprised of a sergeant, an investigator and nine deputies. The deputies assigned to DET receive advanced training on intelligence gathering, surveillance techniques, and search warrant service. They are experienced, motivated, and highly trained enforcement personnel. The teams' goals are to apprehend offenders, search premises and seize evidence of illegal activities. The DET team targets career criminals and violent offenders, conducts high risk arrest warrants, conducts surveillances, search warrant service and intelligence collection and analysis.
