Emerging Drug Trends Seminar for Orange County School Officials

Earlier this month, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens and County Superintendent Dr. Al Mijares, hosted an informative emerging drug trends seminar for Orange County school officials and administrators. Speakers included Superior Court Judge John Adams, Dr. Mike Ritter with Mission Hospital, OCSD Deputy M. Woodroof, Stacy Deeble-Reynolds with OC Dept of Ed, and Dr. Helene Calvet with OC Health Care Agency.

Electronic Cigarettes: The New “E-diction” Presentations in Orange County

News ImageThe Orange County Sheriff’s Department in partnership with the Orange County Health Care Agency and the Orange County Department of Education are hosting a series of free, public presentations on electronic cigarettes and their use by students in local schools. Topics will include the various types of e-cigarettes and vapor pens; how they work; their prevalence in schools; health concerns; and prevention tips. Presentations are intended for adults only.
