OCSD Deputies Train for Active Shooter Scenarios

OCSD has a sophisticated, integrated response plan to act quickly and protect citizens in the event of a local emergency such as an active shooter scenario.  The Sheriff's Department offers rapid deployment training on a monthly basis to patrol deputies.

In the news clip above from ABC 7 Eyewitness News, Deputy Shane Millhollon with OCSD's Tactical Training Center explains how this training prepares deputies to respond quickly to neutralize any threats and save lives.  This training was developed more than a decade ago after the tragic events at Columbine High School in Colorado.
