Deputy Brian Gunsolley -2012 Laguna Hills Deputy of the Year
Deputy Brian Gunsolley, a 13-year veteran of OCSD, was named Laguna Hills Deputy of the Year by his colleagues and recognized by the Laguna Hills City Council.
Deputy Gunsolley is a school resource officer (SRO) working the high and middle schools in Laguna Hills. Deputy Gunsolley also works as a field training officer (FTO), presents monthly parent education classes at Laguna Hills High School and assists with the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day events in the city.
As an SRO, Deputy Gunsolley has fostered a strong partnership between law enforcement, school administrators and students in addressing and decreasing drug use, gang issues, and fights on campus. He interacts with parents on campus and at PTSA meetings, giving the public a clearer view of the issues surrounding youth in south Orange County.
