Post 449 had two teams of eight Explorers represent the Orange County Sheriff's Department at the 2013 Las Vegas Law Enforcement Explorer Competition, OCSD North Team and OCSD South Team.
Post Coordinator Sergeant Dan Daniels (Reserve Bureau) and Post Advisors Deputy Greg Surrell (Aliso Viejo Police Services), Deputy Cindi Martin (Mission Viejo Police Services) and Deputy Ray Botta (Harbor Division) accompanied the Explorers on their journey.
