Battle of the Badges

Battle of the Badges began in 2007 in Southern California as an opportunity for badge carrying personnel to positively impact our community by competing in a friendly blood drive competition. In just a short amount of time, the program has grown into the nation’s largest and most successful law enforcement blood drive.

This year, state, county and federal badge-carrying agencies have gone head-to-head to see which can donate the most pints of blood through the American Red Cross. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is proud to announce that we have set a personal department-wide record of 147 units donated.

Battle of the Badges is a friendly reminder of how important it is to our communities that the blood supply is kept full. We would like to thank each of our department employees that participated in helping save the lives of others, and look forward to breaking our record next year.
