OCSD and Cities Partner for National Night Out

On Monday, August 4th and Tuesday, August 5th OCSD Police Services in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano partnered with their city officials to host National Night Out.

National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime” began in 1984 in an effort to promote crime prevention activities, police and community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that communities are fighting back against crime!

Many members of OCSD were in attendance, including Motor Deputies, Bomb Squad, K-9 Units and Crime Prevention, as well as OC Crime Stoppers. Residents were able to learn about an array of safety measures such as home safety, drug abuse prevention, emergency preparedness and traffic safety. In addition to being educational, National Night Out was a fun community event with live music, face-painting and games. Thank you to all who made these events possible!
