BRAT Collaborates With Other Law Enforcement Agencies in Quad Bandit Capture
On August 7th the “Quad Bandit” was taken into custody after robbing a bank in Brea. The robber, who received his nickname after attempting to rob four banks in one day, surrendered to Fullerton police after Brea officers responded to reports of a robbery at Bank of the West and broadcast to neighboring departments. The Bank Robbery Apprehension Team (BRAT) has been investigating the Quad Bandit for several months regarding a number of other robberies in the Orange County area and is pursuing federal charges.
BRAT is an FBI Task Force whose mission is to identify and arrest bank robbery suspects for crimes committed in Orange County. OCSD is the only local law enforcement agency that provides BRAT with personnel.
